The Ehud Grably Art Foundation stands as a testament to the enduring power of art to inspire, educate, and transform. Established in honour of the visionary Israeli artist Ehud Grably (1961-1994), our foundation is dedicated to preserving Grably's legacy while fostering the next generation of artistic innovators. Our Mission is to honour Ehud Grably's artistic vision by promoting his work, supporting emerging artists, and advancing the field of “Ontological Abstraction” in contemporary art. We seek to preserve and promote Grably’s legacy by maintaining and expanding our comprehensive Grably archives, by organising traveling exhibitions of Grably's work, by publishing scholarly works on Grably's art and his artistic philosophy, and by ultimately digitising Grably's entire oeuvre for global accessibility. The Ehud Grably Art Foundation is a long-term initiative that is intrinsically tied to the GrablyGlobal Academic arm of our organisation that will focus intensively on educational programs, offering workshops and masterclasses inspired by Grably's techniques, developing curriculum materials for schools and universities, hosting annual lectures and symposia about the significance of “Ontological Abstraction” as a previously unrecognised and unarticulated late twentieth-century artistic movement, and by providing online educational courses exploring Grably's artistic journey in the late twentieth-century. We are also endeavouring to introduce an artist residency program with annual residencies for emerging artists to work with, and study Grably's original artworks, fostering other mentorship opportunities with established artists and curators, and curating art exhibitions showcasing work produced during these residencies.
GrablyGlobal is steadfast in its long-term goal of providing research grants and scholarships, funding for scholars studying Grably's work and its context, scholarships for promising art students focusing on abstract expressionism and "Ontological Abstraction," and grants for curators developing exhibitions related to Grably or “Ontological Abstraction.” Our goals in this regard include community outreach programs offering free art classes for underprivileged youth, partnering with local schools for art education programs, and public lectures and gallery talks to engage the wider Global art community. Our conservation efforts will include the establishment of a state-of-the-art conservation laboratory for Grably's original artworks, training programs for art conservators specialising in late twentieth-century art, and research into innovative conservation techniques for modern materials. GrablyGlobal’s digital initiatives will include virtual reality experiences of Grably's life and times, as well as his creative process, interactive online platforms for exploring Grably's artworks, and a podcast series featuring discussions on Grably's influence on contemporary art in the late twentieth-century. We will be implementing an annual Ehud Grably art prize that will recognise emerging artists working in the spirit of “Ontological Abstraction,” an exhibition opportunity for the winner at a prestigious art gallery in London or New York, and a mentorship program with renowned artists and art curators, Globally.
GrablyGlobal is constantly looking to collaborate with museums and art galleries to facilitate loans of Grably's artworks for major exhibitions, co-curating shows that contextualise Grably within the broader art historical narrative, and supporting the acquisition of Grably's work by public institutions. Our publishing program initiatives include producing a definitive first edition Catalogue Raisonné of Grably's work, publishing monographs on various aspects of Grably's art and his artistic philosophy, and creating educational materials for different age groups. We will also be investigating and investing in various sustainability initiatives, implementing eco-friendly practices in all our foundation’s activities, supporting artists working at the intersection of art and environmental awareness, and developing a “green” artist residency program. Our international exchange programs will ultimately facilitate cultural exchanges between Israeli and international artists, organising traveling exhibitions to promote global understanding through art, and hosting international conferences on abstract art and artistic philosophy.
The Ehud Grably Art Foundation will ultimately be funded through a combination of: (i) Proceeds from the sale of limited edition prints and licensed merchandise from our GrablyGlobal Luxury Lifestyle Brand stable of products; (ii) A percentage of sales from GrablyGlobal's other commercial ventures, including its couture, interior design and hospitality offerings; (iii) Donations from art patrons and corporate sponsors; and (iv) Grants from cultural institutions. GrablyGlobal is committed to complete financial transparency, and will be publishing annual reports detailing our income, expenditures, and the impact of our programs. We cordially invite you to join us in shaping the future of art. The Ehud Grably Art Foundation invites art lovers, scholars, artists, and philanthropists to join us in our mission.
